WHAT IS A RUBAG? 
Each bag is hand-painted on canvas and then constructed into a functionl item. I choose to use canvas because it's traditional, durable and versatile.
Function comes first. Items that we use everyday should be interesting and enjoyable to look at, not to mention durable and low maintenance.
Form comes from the formal elements of art in both the painting and the final construction of the functional object.
Fashion. Who doesn't want a unique accessory to make an outfit? Or better yet, a statement.
My hopes are that Rubags can continue to grow and change, while keeping their original simplicity and whimsy.
